A member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Darren joined Skillinvest in 2005 as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) before moving into the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2017.

Darren brings over 10 years of financial management experience in the employment and training industry and over 20 years financial management experience working in the Victorian water industry. He is a current board member of the Apprenticeship Employment Network (AEN), Wimmera Development Association and a past Chairperson of the Horsham Rural City Council Audit Committee. Darren is also a life member of the Horsham Apex Club.

Jason Maybery Chief Financial Officer

Jason joined Skillinvest in March 2009 as the Business Services Manager and moved into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role in September 2017. He manages the WorkCover portfolio across the organisation and was instrumental in the construction of the new Skillinvest office in Horsham.

Jason worked in various payroll, finance, compliance and human resources roles within the water industry for 13 years, including a period as the Human Resources consultant for GWMWater. He also spent three years as the General Manager of the Horsham Golf Club and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Daniel’s demonstrated leadership skills and passion for quality outcomes has supported his successful journey throughout the VET sector to date.

Daniel’s employment history consists of positions such as National Compliance Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Executive Officer with key responsibilities of managing operations and compliance across several state funding contracts / regulators across multiple sites nationally, which has provided Daniel with his extensive insight into the VET sector.

Prior to taking on her management role at Skillinvest, Amanda spent several years as a training coordinator and senior educator. Amanda has extensive experience in all aspects of training and provides valuable support to her team members.

Amanda works across multiple industries, liaising with stakeholders, developing relationships and overseeing the development of programs.

Anita joined the Skillinvest Team in 2020 supporting young people in our Community VCAL program in their journey through education and training.

From 2021 Anita has managed Skillinvest’s Jobs Victoria Employment programs across Victoria, and from July 2022 has been responsible for our Apprenticeship and Labour hire team in the Metro region.

With a background in Youth Work and Community Services, Anita has extensive knowledge of the barriers facing job seekers, and is passionate about creating sustainable employment opportunities for all Victorians with our personalised mentoring services and Apprenticeship and Traineeships pathways.
