Telecommunications Technician Trainee

Skillinvest has an opportunity for a motivated candidate to undertake a Certificate III in Telecommunications with a well-established business working in Sydney metro and surrounding areas.

You will receive valuable industry experience and a nationally recognized qualification and ongoing support from your dedicated Consultant.

Duties Include:

• Install fixed and wireless network equipment and set up new services.
• Assist in the construction and maintenance of telecommunications networks.
• Place or terminate cables, including those made of optical fibre.
• Undertake proof tests such as line testing, circuit commissioning and power tests.
• Assemble, erect, position and label items of equipment.
• Install and maintain telecommunication and other data systems
• Carry out modifications to items of equipment
• Take responsibility for tools, and plant and test equipment

Requirements:

• The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
• A passion for technology
• Driver's License and White card
• Be able to travel to regional locations when requested
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Able to commit to the role and study
• First Aid Certificate or close to obtaining
