Skillinvest has an opportunity for a motivated candidate to undertake a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship based in Dandenong. You will receive hands-on, on-the-job practical experience while undertaking a 'Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology'.

Duties Include:

• Service and maintain heavy vehicles specializing in steering, suspension, brakes and wheel alignment
• Identify mechanical faults.
• Repairing and replacing worn and damaged parts.
• Building industry specific knowledge and skills by observing and learning from senior mechanics.

Requirements:

• Sound mechanical aptitude
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Reliable and responsible attitude
• Physically fit and able to heavy lift
• Drivers Licence required
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to succeed and have pride of work.
