Civil Construction Apprenticeship

• 3-year full-time apprenticeship

Skillinvest currently has an opportunity available a motivated candidate keen to kickstart a career in Civil Construction. Our apprentice will be hosted to Northern Grampians Shire Council in St Arnaud and will gain valuable industry experience whilst undertaking a 'Certificate III in Civil Construction'.

Duties

• Undertake routine maintenance on Council roads, assets etc.
• Complete pre-start checks on plant and equipment
• Operate plant and equipment
• Maintain daily activity sheets and record defects/faults observed
• Traffic management duties
• Install, repair or replace signs

Requirements

• Construction Induction White Card
• Enjoy hands-on physical work
• Great attitude and willingness to learn
• Responsible and good initiative
