Skillinvest has an opportunity for a committed and motivated candidate to undertake a full time Farm Hand Traineeship with a local family farming business located at Nurcoung, 20 minutes west from Natimuk. Our trainee will receive ongoing mentoring whilst learning on-the-job and undertaking a 'Certificate III in Agriculture', with majority of work revolving around mixed cropping, domestic & export hay/straw and with a small section handling care of livestock.

Duties

• Mixed cropping and hay establishment and management
• Property and equipment maintenance
• All areas of sheep management, including feeding and stock health

Requirements

• Genuine interest in mixed cropping and livestock
• Willingness to learn and adapt
• Be physically able to carry out the work
• Adaptable to working independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to commit to work and study
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport preferred but not essential
