Skillinvest has an opportunity for a motivated candidate to continue in their a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship for our host employer, a Bairnsdale based organisation servicing the local community. If you are current 2nd year or a 3rd Year Apprentice and motivated to complete your Apprenticeship in Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, get in touch with us today!

Duties Include:

• Service and maintain heavy vehicles specializing in steering, suspension, brakes and wheel alignment
• Identify mechanical faults.
• Repairing and replacing worn and damaged parts.
• Building industry specific knowledge and skills by observing and learning from senior mechanics.

Requirements:

• Current 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Reliable and responsible attitude
• Physically fit and able to heavy lift
• Drivers Licence required
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to succeed and have pride of work.
