How do I start a career in Engineering?

To become an Engineer you usually have to complete an Australian Apprenticeship in Engineering (Mechanical Trade).

Entry requirements may vary but employers generally require a minimum of Year 11, however many prefer year 12.

Training is usually both on and off the job.

Off the job training is provided through Registered Training Organisations (RTO) and Group Training Companies (GTO) like Skillinvest.
