Looking for hospitality staff?

Skillinvest have a new Hospitality Traineeship program that supports eligible job-seekers into paid training and employment in the hospitality sector.

This program is available for employers based in the Horsham and District area of Victoria.

Trainees and host employers receive incentives for participating in the program.

Hospitality Trainees

Successful candidates will complete a Certificate III in Hospitality over 12 months and are eligible to receive $10k above the awards wages* for the duration of the traineeship.

During this time candidates will complete 38 hours work placement per week with participating employers which might include:

  • Restaurants
  • Cafes
  • Sporting Clubs
  • Commercial kitchens
  • Accommodation facilities

Host Employers

Host employers who participate in the program may be eligible for additional wage subsidies up to $4.5k*

Hospitality Program Milestone Payments Schedule

GTO Host employers will be paid instalments by Skillinvest as follows:

• $500 to be included in the costing
• $1000 Retention Bonus – at the 4 month point
• $1000 Retention Bonus – at the 7 month point
• $2000 Completion Bonus – at 12 months

Additional Wages Paid to Workers

• A total of $10k will be paid over 12 months for GTO placements
• This equates to additional $4.50 per hour
