Skillinvest has an opportunity for a motivated candidate to undertake a 24-month full time Information Technology Traineeship working at AME Systems in Ararat. Our trainee will receive ongoing mentoring whilst learning on-the-job and undertaking a 'Certificate III in Information Technology'.

Duties

• Identify the hardware and software needed to provide solutions to problems
• Assist with work colleagues adaptation of existing programmes to meet users' requirements
• Download and install appropriate software
• Connect users to networks and provide initial training in facilities and applications
• Make sure users can use the equipment by providing personal tuition and self-help instructions
• Undertake housekeeping and reporting functions for the area of responsibility
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Good communication skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Patient and tolerant
• Aptitude for technical activities
• Strong focus and genuine desire to assist
• Willingness to commit to work and study
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport (desirable)
• Willing to obtain a Police Check and/or Working with Children Check prior to commencement
• Gain and maintain AGSVA (Government Security) clearance
